Requirements

1. Fire Prevention Measures

  • Avoid overloading electrical sockets.

  • Maintain and inspect electrical wiring regularly.

  • Ensure proper housekeeping—no clutter in corridors, exits, or near electrical panels.

  • Store flammable materials in approved, ventilated, fire-proof cabinets.

  • Prohibit smoking in restricted areas.

  • Ensure machines, AC units, heaters, and other appliances are serviced periodically.


2. Fire Detection & Alarm Systems

  • Install smoke detectors, heat detectors, and manual call points (MCP) as per building layout.

  • Ensure automatic fire alarm system is fully functional.

  • Fire alarms must be audible across all floors.

  • Regular testing and calibration every 3–6 months.
